The Renovations at Spanish Wells Golf and Country Club are continuing and some good progress has been made. Our NEW kitchen equipment has arrived, the bright and shiny surfaces have put the twinkle back in the eyes of our Chef and motivated he and his staff to produce exciting new culinary creations. Those of you using the Fitness facilities have surely noticed the two new state of the art Elliptical machines that were purchased and installed earlier this summer.
Tennis: We have scheduled the resurfacing of our 5 Har-Tru courts for late in the Fall after all threats of Hurricanes have past and we have also ordered new wind screens. We are still working with vendors to repair the fence surrounding the courts.
Bocce: We will also be resurfacing the Bocce courts, updating the court walls as well as other small projects to improve the overall aesthetics of the area.
The parking lot landscaping is beginning as we repair the irrigation in preparation for new sod, trees and other plantings.
The greens renovation as well as the lake bank renovations are going as scheduled. We are putting the sprigs down on the South greens on Thursday, July 12th and the East the following week. During the renovation some changes have been made on the courses such as changing some bunker sizes or locations, removing or adding bunkers and re-shaping the areas around the greens. Our goal is to make the course more enjoyable, more playable and more aesthetically pleasing.
I have attached a few pictures below to show you the impact of the renovations and a little glimpse of what you will encounter once the courses re-open in October.
I want to thank everyone for your patience and understanding during the renovation process and ask for your continued support as we continue to improve Spanish Wells Golf and Country Club a little more each day.
